Expert Test and Review Group (TRG)

MISSION OF THE EXPERT TEST AND REVIEW GROUP (TRG)

To support the Resource Discovery Working Group (RDG) in its electronic resources acquisition and procurement activity, through usability testing and product review acquisition and procurement activity and on into service delivery during the contract life-time.

AIMS
  • To discuss and propose changes and improvements to the functionality of all NHS ‘core content resources’ for the benefit of end users.

  • To test new products and interfaces and anticipate issues that may affect information discovery to delivery.

  • To canvas and represent local librarian networks and groups as appropriate, and communicate developments back.

  •  To advise the RDG regarding potential alterations and improvements to the usability of NHS England national electronic resources. The RDG will discuss issues with the suppliers via their commissioners and the TRG will monitor the progress in resolving these issues, offering commissioners support with testing ‘fixes’ and cascading information about changes.

Further information is available in the Group's Terms of Reference.
