SHaLL Groups
The Strategic Health Library Leads (SHaLL) have working groups that focus on key development areas and report back to the library leads. The working groups comprise a mix of library leads and Trust librarians from across the LETBs, plus representatives from higher education, social care and other relevant partners. There is a diagram showing the SHaLL structure .
When required Task and Finish Groups are formed to take forward specific work streams e.g. NHS Library Quality Assurance Framework, NHS Library Statistics etc.
SHaLL currently has five working groups with 2 sub-groups:

Role: Expert trainers and searchers’ test and review group

National Athens Administrators Group (NARAG)
Role: Athens Administrators’ Group
Chair: Circulates among members of the group
Role: Development of library staff capacity and capability
Chair: Gil Young (Health Education North West )
Role: Improvement, innovation and impact of library services
Chair: Tricia Ellis (Health Education South West)
Role: Support for librarians providing information to patients and the public
Chair: Richard Osborn (Health Education North and Central London, Health Education North West London, Health Education South London)
Role: ICT infrastructure and policy issues impacting on access to content and delivery of library services
Chair: Kieran Lamb (Health Education North West)
