Staff Development


Purpose

The SHALL Staff Development Group provides professional guidance and leadership on the development and implementation of a range of opportunities to enable the workforce to become fit for purpose to deliver high quality services to support the core business objectives of the NHS, education and training agendas, research activities and evidence-based practice.

Role

To input to the development of national strategy and policy, by advising SHALL and supporting the work of NHS Evidence.

  • To progress work on current key issues including the NSF Quality Framework

  • To advise on the commissioning of CPD opportunities

  • To identify learning and development needs for healthcare library staff.

  • To facilitate effective consultation, communication, evaluation and monitoring processes.

  • To form task and finish groups as required to deliver the work programme.
